Doctor Vo Van Nhan

With 20 years of experience, he is the first doctor in Vietnam successfully performed the three most special and complicated implant techniques: nerve repositioning, zygomatic implant, and dental implant for anodontia (congenitally missing teeth) patients.

In addition, Dr. Nhan is also a pioneer in complex surgical procedures in dental implantology that address serious clinical conditions such as:

2016: Successfully performed an extremely complex surgery. "Implementing both nerves repositioning and zygomatic implants procedures to restore teeth for an ectodermal dysplasia patient"

The success of the dental implant surgery for anodontia patients creates a breakthrough in dental implantology in Vietnam and becoming equal with countries developed medical care.

At the same time, it presents opportunities and hopes for patients with congenitally missing teeth to restore their chewing function and aesthetics, improving quality of life, being confident in communication and community integration.

The first doctor in Vietnam to successfully utilize automatic dental crowns creating technology by computer - CAD/CAM technology with the topic: "Introduction of CAD/CAM system and research application of In Vitro microleakage of class II restoration"- Master thesis - Medical intern in 2002.

2003: Graduated from the two-year training course on oral - periodontal surgery in the joint program between Marseille University and University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh city

2010: Graduated from Dental Implant training course at New York University - United States

2012: Graduated Master Clinician in Implant Dentistry at UCLA, USA

2016: Zygomatic implant combine with inferior alveolar nerve reposition and implant placement in dental restoration for a patient with ectodermal dysplasia

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Performed the two most difficult procedures in implantology in the same surgery (mandibular nerve repositioning and zygomatic implant) on the same patient

Performed autograft by using 2 pieces of iliac bone to cure complete cleft lip and palate for implant placement (With this procedure, more than 90% of type 1 bony bridges are eligible for surgery with 100% successful rate)

The first doctor in Vietnam to study and performed dental implant for patients with anodontia (congenitally missing teeth) in 2016

A presenter at many conferences about implantology and has won many awards both national and international as well as a lecturer of implant training courses in Vietnam

 2011: Received the 2nd Poster prize at the First Dental Implant Conference with the topic: "Harvesting iliac bone for alveolar bone graft and implant restoration"

2012: Received the 2nd Poster prize at the 15th Asia Pacific ICOI Conference with the topic: "Autogenous Vertical and Horizontal block bone graft for serious alveolar ridge defect"

- This is a research based on the study of 49 patients with bone grafts (pelvic bone, retromolar bone, iliac bone) to evaluate the success rate of autograft in dental implants.

 2013: Received the 1st Poster prize at the Second Dental Implant Conference with the topic: “Mandibular nerve repositioning and dental implant placement”

2017: New research in bone grafting and implant placement for patients with cleft lip and palate has been published in The Cleft Palatal Craniofacial Journal
