CAREER

1997: Graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Ho Chi Minh city and was directly enrolled by the Ministry of Health into the Master's Degree program.

2010: Graduated from Dental Implant training course at New York University - United States.

2012: Graduated Master Clinician in Implant Dentistry at UCLA, USA.

2014: Successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis with the topic "Dental implant placement on alveolar bone grafted patients after cleft lip and palate reconstructive surgery"

2015: The first Vietnamese presenter at the International Conference on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ICOMS) in Melbourne – Australia with the topic "Modified Technique of Zygomatic Implant”.

2016: Presented at the 23^rd International Conference on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Hong Kong with the topic "Fixed prosthesis of an ectodermal dysplasia patient with total anodontia using maxillary zygomatic implants and mandibular nerve repositioning simultaneous with implant placement”.

2017: Presented at the Rhein'83 International Conference in Italy with the topic "Transpositioning inferior alveolar nerve and dental implant placement for overdenture”.

2018: Presented at the International Dental Implant Conference Les Printanières in France with the topic “Suturing large perforation of sinus membrane – A new approach in management of complication related to sinus augmentation with simultaneous implant placement”

2018: Presented at the International Conference of Cambodia Dental Implant Association in Cambodia with the topic "Modified technique of zygomatic implant: 5 year follow-up".

2018: Presented at the International Conference Rhein'83 in Spain with the topic "Mandibular nerve transposition and zygomatic implant placement for overdenture rehabilitation".

ACHIEVEMENT HIGHLIGHTS

2011: Pioneered in complex surgical procedures in dental implantology that address serious clinical bone lost conditions such as 3D Autografts

2012: Alveolar cleft bone grafts and implant placement for patients with cleft lip-palate and large sinus perforation repair

2013: Inferior alveolar nerve reposition and implant placement

2014: Modified zygomatic implant

2016: Zygomatic implant combine with inferior alveolar nerve reposition and implant placement in dental restoration for a patient with ectodermal dysplasia

2017: Utilized stem cells in bone grafts and implant placement

SPECIAL ACHIEVEMENTS

Performed the two most difficult procedures in implantology in the same surgery (mandibular nerve repositioning and zygomatic implant) on the same patient

Performed autograft by using 2 pieces of iliac bone to cure complete cleft lip and palate for implant placement (With this procedure, more than 90% of cases presented type 1 bony bridges that are suitable for implant surgery with success rate of 100%)

The first doctor in Vietnam to study and performed dental implant for patients with anodontia (congenitally missing teeth) in 2016

A presenter at many conferences about implantology and has won many awards both national and international as well as a lecturer of implant training courses in Vietnam.

Many scientific papers have been published in The International Journal of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery (IJOMS), The Cleft Palate-Craniofacial Journal (CPCJ, USA) of the American Craniofacial Cleft Association,...
